Long-Range Covert Drone C2: Umbra Link
BLUF: A reliable long-range drone command-and-control link that paints a bright spectrum signature is a long-range beacon. Umbra Link is the product we are building for C2/telemetry that must close distance while staying below the thermal noise floor—invisible to standard spectrum analysis and passive intercept. In active development in our Indore RF lab; early access for Indian OEMs building BVLOS, defense, and security UAVs—not a shipped SKU.

Long Range Without a Findable Carrier
Classical long-range C2 thinking: antennas, link budget, FEC, duplex, latency. Necessary—and incomplete if adversaries listen.
Detect-and-hop radios (including Doodle Labs Sense / Mesh Rider) can keep a control pipe alive under interference by changing channels. They do not stop a passive receiver from noticing that control traffic exists. At long range, that findability is often the operational failure mode.
Resistant to jamming ≠ invisible to detection. Umbra Link targets the detection side: below-noise-floor DSSS for C2 and telemetry.

Honest Limits
No unverified kilometer claims. No STANAG/ITAR badges. No “undetectable” absolute. Below-noise-floor design aims at standard spectrum analysis and passive intercept; advanced feature detectors are acknowledged as a harder class. Specs stay TBD until validated.
